The name of the app is Skype. It has been around for PC users since August of last year. Like KazAA, it is a P2P app but, instead of swapping files, you can talk worldwide for free...at least for now (includes conference calling capabilities).
My only question is, since it's KazAA related, how much a threat is spyware? They advertise on their website
www.skype.com
that there is no spyware nor adware. However, when you read the EULA, they give themselves and third parties permision to access/use your computer and resources. But they swear to protect your privacy...RIIIIGHT ;)
Nonetheless, Skype is poised to be a heavy hitter. Some are even calling it a "killer app". They are backed by Draper Fisher Jurvetson and others and it seems that everybody is talking about them including Forbes

Whadaya think?
