'Odyssey: a long and eventful journey; an intellectual or spiritual quest. Or, if you check out the official website, a fast-paced classic style space shooter game. Odyssey is a reliable example of a heavily plagiarised genre. The label says fast-paced, classic-style, space shooter and that is exactly what it is. Drop in a few phrases like ‘vertical scrolling’, ‘end of level guardians’, ‘collectible weapon power-ups’ and you are going to be able to paint a fairly accurate mental image of the game before you even start it up.'
