Journal Bar 3.0 is here

If it's not on Handango or Pocketgear right now, it's on its way. The developer confirmed that it is done, and is being submitted to Handango. Check back throughout the evening.

Handango

Pocketgear

There are some real nice enhancements to this revision, so be sure to check it out!

I used my original download email from Handango and downloaded the upgrade last night - it looks great and seems to be a bit more stable than previous versions.

I hope it is more than just a bit more stable than previous versions. I was running v 2 and it was so eratic and random with updates that I eventually removed it.

Until I can get Battery Pack Pro to work reliably I don't plan on installing any more of their products. I just won't accept "yeah, others have had the same problem" as a response.

I swore off O1 products after the "free lifetime updates" fiasco related to BatteryPack. But, since I previously bought JB, and since the new weather display looked nice, I thought I'd download v.3. Well, same old p.o.c. SLOW as a tortoise. News channels I don't want to read. Generally the same old JB with a little fresher display.

After a day of use, I uninstalled it and went back to Stocks and Weather Today. Fast and the built-in ability to display many cities weather, not just 2 until you buy some expansion pack.

From now on, I'll only use Pocket Mechanic, and that's not really an O1 product.

Just my .02.

Yo Xdalaw, thanks for saving me some time. I like the way O1 products look but man their programs are slow and a resource hog and make my 400mhz machine seem like my old 90mhz Mobilon. I had them on my pda for a while until I got sick of it being so slow. NO more Omega1 for me.

I'll recommend you the new WeatherPanel 2, is fast, and has 4 cities + radar maps

I have to admit, I'm a O1 fan. I pretty much run their full gamut.

I've not noticed a slowdown as you indicated, and I really don't run JB on my Today screen, I just like the weather Icons to appear in 1-Pass. Also love 1-calc.

Klapp - I played around with iLauncher 2, and I really do like it. I think I'm going to take advantage of the newsletter discount and purchase it to have an additional row of Icons. It really isn't a big deal to add the programs manually. Very nice interface, I must have previously installed a copy of the 1.0 demo. Great stuff!

Excellent! Can't wait to try it out. 2.0 works for me, and I like the different ways you can choose it to appear on the desktop. Also, it does play nicely with O1's Program bar, they can co-exist!! :approve:
