Veo Digital Camera now X5 Compatible

This is some great news for X5 owners! The popular Veo CF slot digicam now works with our Axims. Previous versions of this hardware did not fit into the Axim because of its deep CF slot; now with a new design it works perfectly and we can add one more useful tool to the list of our all-in-one device, a Digital Camera!

Some features include:

• 640x480 digital resolution
• Takes 24-bit full color photos
• Adjustable self timer
• Swivel lens with adjustable focus

NICE! Depending on price I might just have to grab one. I don't presently own a digital camera so this would be a good little utility feature for sure.

.6 megapixel, or 640x480. Not enough for printing, but for quick screen-worthy / eBay / web site snaps I guess it's OK... I'll wait for the 2MP version.

I just got mine last night. It took 6 days from the time I ordered to get to me. I am new to the PPC world so I may not be the best to do a review. It was easy to load and to use. Very user friendly. I havent gotten to play with it much, except to irritate my co-workers who don't like getting their pictures taken. The case that comes with it is very sturdy. The camera is a snug fit into the CF slot. The camera itself seems very delicate. I am wondering if the camera was worth the $100. I might feel better abot the money once I get more use out of it.

I JuST bought one at COMP USA and it WILL not work, but ONLY because COMP USA does NOT sell those compatible with the Axim. So, if you buy, you HAVE to buy directly from Veo, and make SURE that you let them know that you are buying for the DELL Axim.

Totally stinks. I was SOO excited about getting it, got it, only to find that the card is not deep enough to fit snug in the CF socket.

If you're going to buy one, check the VEO link (above by the picture of the camera)...it clearly tells you which model to purchase for the Axim.
