When browsing this morning, found out on Pocket PC Thoughts that ActiveSync 3.8 has been released. No info on the site about what has changed, but here is the link to download from.

OK, I downloaded it, installed it, no problems so far. Synced with it, no problems, but I can't see what they did to improve it or fix it or whatever. Guess it's some secret that Microsoft doesn't want us ton know.

sorry, no offense but it seems rubbish to me for that overview (well, as for now, i don't see a difference... it could very well be just me);

nonetheless, they didn't even update the About Activesync dialog to be 1996-2005 (its still "2003" now, lol) ;)

Maybe the changes are all behind the scenes to actually make it more trouble free. Just because there are no interface changes, doesn't mean they didn't fix something.

Just to let everyone know that, in order to keep the forums tidy, I'm removing all other threads that announce that "activesync 3.8 is out". Obviously this one will more than suffice, and will mean people don't have to repeat themselves and will be found more easily when doing a "quick search".

I have had problems with ActiveSync 3.71 and WMP10, conflicting with each other. Sofar since I updated to 3.8 I do not seem to have that problem.

i had no real problems except for avantgo - would not connect for some reason that i can't figure out quite yet. and it seemed to block my internet connection completely while trying to sync - weather panel would not update while the attempt to sync avantgo was in process. will need to ponder this. may just need to re-install avantgo software.

I have actually given up on getting avantgo to work - 4 hours later - it does and the next soft reset it just stops

It is 4.30am here now so I give up :bang: :bang:

The sync process seems much zippier to me.
