WOW, Nobody ever ask that before? My wife won't let any polyester T-shirts in the house. :)

Since they are all cotton I'll buy 4. I just went around the house and got everybody's order. I'll get it out to you in the morning as soon as my daughter decides what she wants. Teenagers

Thanks for your efforts!

Use the attached PDF file to calculate your order, and then follow payment instructions (through PayPal). Credit Cards are accepted. If you have need of some alternative kind of payment (no trades, however) please e-mail me.

Not me choirguy :)

with all the tons of members to this site,i think it would be so awesome if we all agreed to get a shirt...every member. think of the $ we could send for help. and maybe issue a challenge for members...see who can order the most shirts, and whoever does, for their effort, award a prize, like games,case,stylus-pen,screen covers...something like that. if its all done for the sake of helping the people,i think the challenge would be a good idea. and let the winner pick 3 or 4 things from a list to be his/her prize pack. plus, from a marketing media point, the more shirts out there, the more people see the site name, and chance for more activity on the site.
so all around i think it could be a win win situation. get the whole office to pool together or a classroom. as powerful as this tsunami was, i think the only way to do this thing is just powerful.
lets show we are a site that cares.
we all know they need the help.
what do you all think?

ChoirGuy, Thanks for all the info (in post #40 and post #45). These shirts sound really really nice!

Besides helping tsunami victims, getting quality products at reasonable prices, I would love to recognize a fellow Aximsite member someday on the street when one of us is wearing an Aximsite shirt! That would be awesome! I agree; we should definately all get one. :approve:

I'll look for you at the King of Prussia Mall, on a Saturday afternoon in the spring at the Italian Market, or down the Shore this summer! :)

Jeepfaned response makes me need to tell everyone some news. First, we had our first official order this afternoon (other than my own personal order for a black t-shirt and a black long sleeve t-shirt). I know many people will wait until closer to Februrary 2nd, which is fine...just please, not everyone! I'll be sending a non-generated confirmation order to every person that orders, and if there are even 100 orders on that last day, I might go crazy.

As you can see on the order form, this is raising $1 for our choir program and $2 for the tsunami relief efforts for every item ordered. If every member registered member bought a t-shirt, quite honestly, all of our choir program's needs in terms of music and facility needs would be taken care of for 10-15 years. No, I don't expect that, but it is a joy to be able to do something for Aximsite (arrange these apparel items) and to have a "kickback" that goes to my choir program. One of my personal goals is to buy some of the "for sale" items that are on Aximsite for my students...some of you have seen my posts that we're willing to accept donations of equipment (with a tax deductible receipt as well).

If anyone wants to contribute MORE to the tsunami effort, I can certainly ear-mark that. Just FYI, Chris Leckness will receive a copy of the ordering spreadsheet which includes an analysis of every expense. So, yes, there is accountability.

Now here's the neat part. When I told Chris about this idea, he paused on the phone, and said this..."Although it would be nice if every member of Aximsite would put one dollar towards the site each year, from this perspective, Aximsite doesn't need this particular income. It would be better if instead the money that you would like to put towards Aximsite towards the tsunami relief effort." My original idea was for the sale to help Aximsite...it was Chris' brilliant idea to let it go to tsunami relief.

Also, my students are thrilled to be involved in both a fundraiser for the program that doesn't require them to ask their relatives to buy yet something else they don't need...and to be helping in the tsunami relief effort as well.

So, thanks for your support!

Choirguy, is this picture you have in your sig exactly what the white t-shirt will look like? Are they 100% cotton or poly blend, etc? Also, do you have details about the other items (i.e., long sleeve t-shirt, hooded sweatshirt)? Pics would be helpful too. And I was also wondering about the sizes; how small is the small?

Thanks. :)

Hi Gigi,

1) Chris' image is close to what it will look like. Actual design proofs will be in later this week, but not on a shirt.

2) 100% cotton on shirts, likely 50% on sweatshirts

3) Possibly some pics can be brought from the actual catalog of the shirts, but there will be none of the items themselves. You see, it's very expensive to run a screen for anything less than 12 original shirts, and there is a set-up fee each time you do it.

4) What kind of information do you want about the long-sleeve t-shirts and sweatshirts?

5) All shirts are men's sizes, so the S would be a men's small...which is pretty small. If you're a really tiny person, that's probably the best best.

Thanks choirguy, that was helpful. Do the sweatshirts have a front pocket (i.e., for your hands) and a drawstring?

Yes, they do! And in fact, if you want to see a different "take" on the sweatshirt, visit the choir webpage... www.parkchoir.org and look at the Park Choir sweatshirt. Hooded, with drawstring and front pocket. That sweatshirt (embroidered) was also made by the company that is making the Aximsite shirts.

However, I find most of my female high school students immediately rip out the string as well as the front neck of the sweatshirt...purposely...because they "Don't like how tight it is." I think it's part of a "fad" as well. I'd never personally do that with mine, but what can you say?

I've been entering orders into a spreadsheet as they've been coming in, pasting addresses onto document formatted for mailing labels, and sending confirmation of orders as they arrive!

Thanks again for your support!

Choirguy,

I tried to place an order but for me the PDF file is not active. I can't enter any amount or follow any link from it. I don't know if I am the only one with this problem but I thought I should let you know.

Thanks,

I also could not use the links in the PDF file. I went directly to my Paypal account and paid directly to his.
