Fitaly 3.5 for Windows Mobile 2003 SE (final release)

We are pleased to announce the final release of Fitaly 3.5 for Windows Mobile 2003 SE. As you can see below, it takes full advantage of color to make the distinction between panels very explicit. The Fitaly 3.5 installer offers two choices. The first one is for VGA machines.

The second uses a similar design to addresse devices with a Quarter VGA screen.

This release supports the full functionality of Fitaly, including glossaries and shortcut expansion. As you will see, the menus to open glossaries and save them are now displayed in the Command bar, following the Windows Mobile 2003 SE standard.

This final release corrects all known problems. The only difference with the last release candidate is that it is now provided with an installer packaging the Pocket PC components with the desktop components of Fitaly.

Fitaly 3.5 also achieves a substantial reduction in size by using a new approach for loading bitmaps. The new executables are under only 60 KB — smaller than Fitaly 3. The bitmaps are now loaded on demand and take approximately 10 KB at any time. This size reduction should be appreciated in devices where driver size is a problem.

Another advantage of the new approach is that it will make it easier for third parties to develop alternate skins for Fitaly: All 53 bitmaps used by Fitaly are in a new Windows\Fitaly\Image folder where they can easily be replaced.
