i too have written to mag@innopocket, i wonder should i have written to ben@innopocket as it was he who emailed me that the case was shipped.

i am wondering about the "clip" as well. i have used it for 5 days now. the first day it was GREAT snapped in nicely and stayed shut. now (day 5) it won't stay close at all and since i use the belt clip, it "flaps" around. for now i have resorted to using a piece of electrical tape =P and wrote to innopocket about it (along with the marker thing).

you only have a few blemishes? i guess that is better than mine. along the inner edges mine are "half" markered, and i think on the edges of the "hump" on the flap they are too. these are just cosmetic as i think the rest of the case will show the more obvious usage over time, so this didn't "bug" me too much. but the flap and directional pad problem IS a big problem.

the lid when closed presses the directional pad. i feel that it is the plastic piece that is used to "clip" the flap is the problem. viewing from the side, i see that the plastic piece is not "tall" enough. i believe that the interior "groove" that was hallowed out is suppose to go over the directional buttons to prevent such problems however it isn't the right dimensions. so when the flap is closed, it presses the directional pad. this isn't a problem if the device is off, but as an mp3 player where i mapped the up/down/ to vol up/down .. it is bothersome to hear the song at full blast on my headphones =( or the song skipping to the next unintentionally.

besides these problems, this case has a GREAT feel to it. i can't explain why, but with the axim in the case, it feels like it can take a beating and still work. just wonder why it feels so much heavier. *rofl*

thank goodness for aximsite and this community, otherwise i would have thought i was the only one to get a lemon. :P

floss.

I too have one with flaking paint and a magic marker "fix". Completely unacceptable, but it does look like they will make it right. I sent an email and received a reply and they will be shipping me another ASAP according to the email. No mention of needing to ship the defective one back.. hopefully there won't be any need or extra cost involved.

I don't have any other problems with it, although I am still worried about that latch...

As I said earlier in the thread, if you end up with two and would be interested in selling the old one for a reduced price, let me know. Thx.
