I have to say - that is a niiiice system :approve:

Sort of puts my m700 (1.7ghz, 1gb, 80gb, cd/ dl dvd burner, no 'a' and no 'real' graphics card in the shade (although I imagine that yours is quite a bit heavier )

I built it and its not accepting the coupon. I entered the code and only $300 off.

Deal is DEAD after 10,000 uses. Took about 45 mins to reach that number. I got in on this huge coupon deal last yr. When a coupon is this huge, you'd better have your system in your shopping cart and ready to go or else you will not get it. Congrats on thoese who got it in on time!

I tried to use the coupon on a 600m for $1839 after options. All the coupon did was add free shipping. From the verbiage above it seems that this laptop should qualify.

I got in on the $750 savings deal. I got a 700m having delt with my heavy Inspiron 8100 should be a nice change. In the end I spent about $1300 including the coupon.

Although I wish I bought in on the Inspiron 5160 which can have a 3GHz processor. Hopefully my wife will trade her 5160 for my 700m.

Over in 40 minutes!?! That's incredible!

The one downfall of the P4 notebooks is their weight. This is why I went with the Inspiron 6000, because it will be lighter than it's P4 companion. Not saying that it's going to be a feather weight, but most definitely lighter than the P4. The Centrino processors generate much less heat, consume less power, and therefore don't retquire the cooling subsystems and metal to help dissapate the heat.
