I was a beta tester for this one, and I can tell you.. It's absolutely amazing!

Here, here.

I beta-tested this.. and honestly, it's TOO powerful for my needs. If you're the kind of person who knows and loves photoshop inside and out - this is your best choice. But if you're like me and want to make simple doodles, there are other less "complex" programs.

It is VERY full-featured though..

I liked the trial but $50 was a bit much. I do doodles and quick comps for clients, pocket artist works well for half the price....50 bucks for a PPC app is a bit much, even with the bells and whistles this has.

Can you say mobile photo editing dueling in the "picture is worth 10,000 words" thread! I will download the demo so I can use it this week as I am out of town on business!

What fun!

I know that there are a couple of other high-end photo progs for the PPC, but is PocketArtist one of the better ones (if not the best)?

Cheaper option, still fun!

It may not have all the whizbangery of Pocket Artist 3.0 but y'all oughta try Pencil Box Deluxe

Also cool is MultiPad

@ forkyfork and GordonNL - In previous versions you could actually copy custom brushes from Photoshop on your desktop and use them on your ppc. Is this still possible? Havnt really had much time to check for myself...

@ hnelson59 - Might be worth mentioning that owners of versions 1.X and 2.X can upgrade for $19.95 (makes it alot easier on the wallet) :approve:

If you could do it before, I don't see why not.

I think the program comes with a 30 day trial, so that should be enough to test out all the features, right?

FlipIt!

I love PocketArtist, but being an animator I equally love FlipIt.

http://www.dig-concepts.com/products.php?HwDLEGDsJrIaf

It hasnt had an update in many a moon, but it still does what it does well, which is basically an onion-skinning flipbook for hand drawn animation. Simple but very fun.

I just checked and if you have a previous version upgrading is only $20, not bad for how much they have added.
