Exclamation

I upgraded to A02 and i observe severe problems with ActiveSync - my Axim does not connect to my host PC and sometimes i get "winsock" error on my Axim. Does anyone encounter such a problem? I think the upgrade process went well.

Did the upgrade last night, had one problem during the install at approx 20%, when ActiveSync disconnected.... fortunately the install program saw this and just did a another hard reset to get me back to square one again. On the 2nd attempt everything went fine including restoring all my apps with ActiveSync. Seems to run apps faster now, glad I did the upgrade.

Question Which tutorial, Aximsite's or Dell's?

I'm getting close to biting the bullet and trying the ROM update. But some advice, please: Those of you who have already performed the update, did you follow the Aximsite tutorial or Dell's tutorial? I assume they're similar, but just to be on the safe side, which should I follow?

Yes, but which ones, specifically? Better to follow the Dell instructions or the Aximsite tutorial?

Upgrade

If you have a Dell 8100 or 8200 don't do the upgrade! I read in one of the postings the usb card is not up to date. I had to seek another computer to do the upgrade. Followed all of the tutorials and instructions but could not get a sync afterwards.:crooked: Had to reload all the programs and set up partnership just like the first day I received the Ax. No backups would sync..
Since I loaded everything from scracth...works great.:D It does seem faster. Programs open much faster...

Thank goodness for this site. Lots of help..

I read it on this site when the upgrade first came out. Someone was having trouble upgrading...It would get to 10% and stated upgrade failure. Not sure where this thread is now. I did it several times to no avail. Made a partnership with a Panasonic Laptop I have...Upgraded with no problem..
