The only thing this software can't do is motivate me to buy it.

I think this would an excellent tool to assist in debt reduction. I can program what payments I need to make every week and every month with the goal of being debt free...eventually. Another purpose would be household jobs that need to be done...sorta like an electronic job jar.

Clearly, the person or persons who developed this application have some talent.

What a pity it has been wasted on something so trivial.

Get a life, people......develop something that may actually be useful.

Come on guys, this is a good app for someone wanting to organize their goals. It's unique, thats something you don't see everyday in ppc development.

Absolutley. I've used it since 1.4 - and it's been a great help.

Like anything else in the "personal improvement" world, its a tool - it won't do the work for you, but does an excellent job of guiding you to define the steps for goal achievement, and keeping you on task.

To do that you'd actually have to have some goals.

Ditto! I have several ongoing "Tasks" or "Goals" that I might be able to use this for...? I might just take a closer look.

Hi jaspeakm,

developer here...I do appreciate your mention about the talent :)

But saying that goal management is trivial. Woah! What a statement. I couldn't disagree more. Whether you admit it or not, we are all governed by goals. Something as small as "I want a new Pocket PC" is a goal of sorts. Think about it, you research which one is best and you plan out the best way to get it for the lowest price, etc, etc. Yet, many people don't spend as much energy researching and planning how they are going to spend their time over the next year as they do purchasing a new device.

Take the example of a guy who sets a goal to get a high-school diploma, maybe finish college, get an apartment, a car, and then what? Too often, he'll end up working for someone else - achieving the goals others have set. What if the he wants more than that for his life? As far as I see it he has two choices. Stay where he is and complain and wait for a raise, or set a goal, make a plan and work the plan until he is where he wants to be.

Not to say A.I. will solve his problem entirely - it won't prepare his resume or lay the foundation for the retail store he wants to open, but what it will do is organize (maybe even expand) his thoughts and goals into a usable plan and nag him if needed :) to stay on track.

Looks like an equally great idea for self-starters, entrepreneurs or those just needing a little reminder to keep them on track. I believe most everyone has untapped potential that often gets diluted by the banal business of day-to-day living. In the least, this program could tether those long-term goals to a place you, or at least I, spend a large percent of my time: staring into my Pocket PC.

Nice idea :approve:
