Ever wish you had better low end response from your earphones? Unless you want to slap a large, clunky, expensive set of headphones on your head, there has never really been an option. Let's face it, the best ear buds have horrible frequency range and I honestly thought there was no way around that.

I would be interested to know, too, because I have the Sony earphones and I think they sound great. I can't imagine carrying around an external power source for earphones, though.
If you're looking for fantastic sound, check out the E2c or E3c earphones from Shure. Full sonic range, clarity is unbelievable, and very good bass to top it off. You pay more but the quality is superb. (Doesn't have any fancy connectors for PSP.)
The rubber is ripping off...I see wire right now on one part...
I take good care of these too...I never liked Sony but I went for these...I knew I shouldn't!
I know how you feel...my brother, a friend and I have the Sony MDR-EX51LP earbuds. The rubber is tearing on all of them even though we take good care of them. I have only had them for about four or five months. They sound great and all, but i'm not sure if i'm going to buy these again....
Okay, these things look sweet, now where do you buy them? Somewhere else said you can go to the developers website (www.headbangeraudio.com) for a list of dealers, but when you click on support it just says "Coming Soon!" Don't tell us about an awesome product if we can't buy it!

1) I have been through over a dozen of the Sony headphones, I buy one, and return one, you can do it 2-3 times until they just give you a refund. Issues are that one side stops working, 100% of the time, depends on how often you use it, I listen to mine every night. This is the same with the 51 or 71 including the fact that the rubber comes off and exposes wires. You can spice two together if you want.
2) The Sure's are fine, but would worry about spending that much if they will die within a couple months.
3) These new ones, Ear Subs, I can't find anywhere and the Headbanger website has no info and too much noise. Would like to try them and see, but who knows.

What about those Sharp MD33's. They are reviewed to sound better than the Sonys but I can't find anywhere to buy them...
You can find them on audiocubes.com. It would cost you $49USD to get them shipped from Japan, but it's still the cheapest place I found. I ordered them on Saturday and they shipped them out today. They'll probably arrive on Wednesday, so I'll write my impression then.

Hey man, check out audiocubes.com for the MD33's. They import straight from Japan. Also, Creative just released an oem version of the MD33s without the weird plug and with the y-cord design. Check it out on head-fi.org
Edit: Hah, didn't see the above post. But here, check it out!
