Pocket Breeze 4.3.10 released

I don't post each new release SBSH comes out with for Pocket Breeze . . . they would be almost weekly posts! :)

But this latest version has enhanced the pop-up calendar so that it shows your timeline and icons if you want - that's cool! There are many more tweaks you can check out here.

Another nice tweak to the program they added is the ability to hide the settings icon, allowing you to display up to five tabs at once without scrolling, a nice addition since you can now have up to six tabs in pocketbreeze, Calendar, ContactBreeze, Custom today plugin tab, PocketRSS, Tasks and Special Events. This program just keeps getting better and better!

Does Pocket Breeeze work with Battery Pack Pro - which I have on my PPC - or is it a case of one or the other? I'd have to say that most of the BP icons don't work on my old HP1910, but perhaps they will when my X50v arrives next week.

I love PocketBreeze more than any other program ever and this is an awesome calendar (gotta love the enthusiasm that the folks have at SBSH as they keep making an excellent product even better -thanks Amit!).

So, with that being said, Im having one problem after downloading this new version, I keep freezing after I try to move dates of incompleted tasks. I redownloaded the program 2x, but it's still freezing up when trying to perform the "move date" operation. Is this happening to anyone else?

I think I read maybe two posts on this or a similar problem at SBSH happening on older or slower machines which Amit is looking into. If you haven't already I would recommend that you post your problem here: http://www.sbsh.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=4930 where Amit can see it and get more information from you to help fix the problem.

Thanks for the report - we already started checking this and I think we have some lead. I'm still not sure why it happens on your device since it seems pretty rare, but we will work to solve this ASAP :approve:

Thanks Amit! I knew you'd be on it asap. BTW I'm running on WM2003SE on an Axim X50V. (sorry I have to update my profile information - I will today).

I'm wondering if it's another Today plug-in interfering? I put Notes Today on the Special Events tab and now I can't figure out how to take it off or I'd check to see if that's it. The other plugins are ILauncher 1.0, WeatherPanel, and I'm trialing MyPersonalDiet which has a rather large plugin. I'm going to try removing the MPD and see if it helps.

I don't think this is due to other plugins :) no need to test it too much.

One thing that might help to try, enter PB Settings -> Calendar tab -> Monthly calendar (bottom tab) and disable both options to show timelines and category icons. Do you still have this problem when these two options are disabled?

This test will probably help me the most since it will point me to the right direction on the code :approve:

Amit, I removed both and it works like a charm!! Then, I put the icons back and it still works!
Edit: Spoke too soon, I need to keep both off.

Nice update.

I love the new today screen calendar view - great touch.

The two best programs on my Axim are PocketBreeze and AgendaFusion.

Thanks Amit! In the meantime, I'm absolutely loving this program exactly as it is. PocketBreezeis simply indispensible! And just when I thought it couldn't get any better, this new 4.3.10 version came out and it did. I highly recommend this program above any other program I own, and, the tech support is second to none! :approve:

No PocketBreeze is just a calendar display. Well, thats not giving proper credit. PocketBreeze in its latest version can have up to six tabs as follows:

Calendar Tab, which shows appointments, can be set to show tasks and special events also and email.

ContactBreeze Tab, which gives you quick access to all your contacts. (costs extra, but well worth it.

Custom Tab, you can run most regular today plugins (such as pocketPlus) within this tab to regain some lost space on your today screen.

PocketRSS Tab, If you buy PocketRSS (by a different company) it can be fully intigrated into PocketBreeze with its own tab.

Tasks Tab, which shows all tasks.

Special Events Tab, which shows birthdays and anniverseries pulled from your contacts data base, and can show holidays if you load them into Outlook on your computer.

There are way too many options to mention, but suffice to say that if you can't configure it to your liking I'd be very surprised. Give it a try there is a free trial available.

PB and CB is one of my favorite product. The customer support is the best that I have ever seen. Just when you think that the product has everything that you could possibly need, the developers go ahead and add couple more features.

The only feature now that I desperately need is multiple custom tab. Right now it gives only one custom tab and so I have put cLaunch in the custom tab. If I can define more custom tabs then that would mean I can move all of my Today plug-ins into the PB interface tab thus giving me very valuable real estate on my Today screen. In SBSH forums, I have seen Amit mention that they will be coming out with something similar to multiple custom tabs in the near future. Keeping fingers crossed. Amit, any idea when we can see multiple custom tabs??

Pocket Plus is a tabbed launcher with some OS improvements, such as the close button, Some improvements to PIE, the taskbar battery indicator, and some improvements to the built in file explorer. PocketBreeze is as I described above. They do completely different things with no feature overlaps. I run them both and am quite happy with each one.

Some people complain that Pocket Plus is bloated software, just too big a footprint on their machines. The main complaint I have heard of PocketBreeze is that there are too many settings and it is complicated to set up. (It works fine as soon as you load it, but some people don't like to wade through all those pages of settings to get it looking the way they want) Me, I'd rather be able to configure everything and since you can backup your settings, any changes you make will only have to be made once.

Glad to help, and no it's not overkill. I think you would be very happy with both programs installed. Those and WeatherPanel are about the only today plugins I regularly use anymore.

I won't say that my internal version works now with four different custom tabs ... :hide:
