What's the occasion?
There is none. I was going to do a virtual yard sale to raise funds to feed my gadget addiction and buy a new PocketPC Phone, but decided it would be better to give the items away.
Please be aware, these prizes are mostly purchased by me and are now "Used". Some items have minor missing parts(none hinder the normal operation). These items all work fine, they are just underutilized in my home.
Up for grabs are the following:
Xbox, Wireless Controller, and 6 games
FujiFilm S5000 Digital Camera
XM Sattelite Receiver w/ car kit and Boom Box
Suunto SPOT Watch w/ 1 year free MSN Subscription
3 PSP Games
Jabra 250 Bluetooth Headset
The Rules:
To enter, tell us what Aximsite and or iPaqHQ has meant to you over the years. Yes, its that simple.
ONE POST PER PERSON!
STAFF CAN ENTER AND I WILL ENSURE THAT ONE STAFF WINNER WILL WIN.
Users outside the US can enter as well.
Deadline is July 1st, 2005
The way the winners will be selected:
1st, I will pick my favorite post from staff members from both sites. They will get to pick their prize. Then I will select MY 10 favorite posts (from both sites). I will take these posts to our admin forums and let the staff vote on the top 5. The 5 winners will be allowed to choose a prize based on vote count from the staff.
Please be sincere in your posting, posts like "Aximsite is the Best" and "Chris is cool" will get you nowhere, besides, the sites are not about Chris, they are about the users and the staff that makes it tick.
I reserve the right to change the rules as I see fit to help the fairness of the contest.

First and foremost, AximSite has allowed Me to be Me, no easy task lemme tell'ya.
By providing an outlet for us creative types in a not-necessarily PDA/Axim kinda way, AximSite has evolved into a very friendly Community unlike any other on the net.....bar none.
The staff is very open minded and even The Commissioner is accessible and accepting of questioning.....nay, even criticism!
(and it won't even get you banned)!
I jumped into this nice little safe-haven and immediately began to learn more and more about my X5. Soon I was actually helping people and still learning at the same time. I admit, I have a few nonsensical Posts, here and there, but those too are what help make this Site the Powerhouse it is today.
Without AximSite I might have ended up at some lesser Site learning how to Flame and Put-Down-the-n00bs in a most rancourous way. Instead, I found Home and some etiquette and the ways of Invisible writing so I can do it on the sly.......erm.....I, uh mean..........mmmmmmmmmm.........oh well, no sense in trying to sugar coat it.
Lets just say I have become a more pleasant Web Person than I prolly would have had I landed in some other URL.
I be a well adjusted and happy little
AximSiteKiwiFruit Legend.

What I like about Axim site is that it has provided a really friendly and good community which is devoted to helping PDA owners (not just Axim owners) enjoy devices. I know I have received some really useful information here and talked to some really entertaining characters.
I also realised early on that the one thing which caused people to dislike their PDAs was that they didn’t understanding them. So what I really liked most was that Aximsite gave me the opportunity to help other people to get the most from their new toy and be able to enjoy it as much as I do.
Cheers

- It provides me a single place where I can come to get realistic, up-to-date info related to my x50v.
- I search Aximsite for support / tech / troubleshooting info before I go to Dell support forums.
- Great place to find out about the lastest gadgets and get info on their reviews.
- a great community of honest individuals that are here for the benefit of Dell Axim products and those who use them.
- It provides me with daily reading (I dont remember what is going on in the world today as I spend all my time reading this forum!) :-)
Axim site always have answers for my questions about using my x3.
New products and software anways can be found here.
Many friendly ppcers supporting this place.
Aximsite is my home on the internet and because we are all here together to help and support each other this makes it a special place. And it was this sense of community that helped me reach my decision to buy Dell. It is fair to say that without the site the net would be a poorer place for all of us; this is the best PPC site on the web.
Aximsite to me is a community of friends, willing to share their knowledge and services. And this to me has meant that I am able to become intelligent about the things I am capable of doing with my axim. But not only that, I have been able to talk more freely and openly (I'm usually a shy person who doesn't talk very much in real life). So you can say that aximsite site has been a doorway to my thoughts, expressions and insights that I would normally keep to myself. Thanks aximsite!

Both these sites have been awesome! I came over from the dark side(Palm OS) after being a major Palm devotee about 2.5 years ago. I really knew very little about Pocket PC's and the Ins and Outs. I started with an HP 4150 and IpagHQ really helped me get the most out of it. After a little while of playing around and learning all the tricks, I was converted to Pocket PC's. One year after that I had to make the jump to VGA. Axim site has now helped me get the most out of my Axim X50V. It's great how these sites are tailored to specific brands so the forums and reviews are very specific to my devices. Keep up the great work.
I think most of us here won't even care if we win or not. Why? Because it's a pleasure to speak good about this website! When I first heard about this site I decided to register RIGHT AWAY. I knew it was going to be worth it with all the knowledge and help one can find here. I picked the user name "New2Dell" because the x50v was the first dell pda I have ever purchased (ipaqs have always been my choice). Now I am far from being NEW2dell.
What makes this site so great in my observations is the fact that there are a bunch of guys/girls from other great websites like brighthand, pocketpcthoughts, pocketnow and so forth. People that have been around forums for many years. People that have been WILLING to help out new ones with thier expiriences. These people have brought that willing spirit here to aximsite and it makes this website SHINE like no other.
So, as long as there remains people that are willing to go out of their way, this website will continue to grow. I also appreciate the work of this staff, without them there would not be aximsite.com. So as you can see, it's all about TEAM WORK in making a great website.
Oh and let me not forget, Chris is GREAT and he is so COOL! Just kidding. Great website people, keep up the good work!
I've now have an X50v but previously had an Ipaq2210 and I must say that BOTH site fill the hole left by the manufatures of the devices. getting help from the manufatures is fine but can take some time and they always seem to try and get you to HARD reset for the smallest of problems. People on these sites forums are the real day2day users and alot of them know thier devices insideout and can remidy most problems within minutes.
I just come to read mr. klaatu's posts :D
On occasion answer a few threads. Maybe post on on something i haven't been able to discover through research.
Vote for Klaatu
I come from an even darker side: I haven't had a PDA before buying my X5. So, from being a total nooby I have become a more or less experienced user. Aximsite has helped me with this, no, Aximsite is the reason for this, for all members have actively (though probably unconsiously) supported that development.
I still have Aximsite on screen most of the day. To get info, to give info or just to hang around and watch members communicate with each other. I have found no other forum where the etiquette is so pleasant. Biggest example of this is the never ending flow of new members that introduce themselves. Existing members never are too good to wish them a warm welcome, resulting in a long list of replies with this text stated. Haven't seen this on any other site!
For me it would probably be more simple to visit a Dutch forum, but there the ambiance is quite different. So I now can keep up my English as well as learning to use my Axim in a ton of different ways!! Keep the good work going!

Well... I am sure I am speaking for a lot of people. I am always on the run and never have time to sit and read manuals. I have come to Aximsite.com a lot of times looking for quick answes to common and not so common problems and I always find a thread that has relevant and useful information. Before looking anywere else I come here! I found myself a lot using google.com and for some reason it always pointed me here...
Thanks for the good work from the Administration to the people that post great information!

Reason: quoted all the information :(
PDA's have been in my life for nearly 5 years and considering i am only 18 years old, that is a long time. For many years I had hand-me-downs from my dad, psion was the make of choice with cool touch screens and build in keyboards they were brilliant.
About 3 years ago i migrated to a palm m105, i was very happy with the pda, but it was not until 4 months ago when i was able to afford a real PDA that i really found out how much i was missing.
After my first google for the x30 I knew dell was a decent make to go for. The main reason for going for the x30 was the level of help avaliable through this one portal. From users serving in the armed forces to users like me, everyone here has the experience to solve any problem that anyone can come up with.
Considering my background in web development, it is great to see a website which remains independant from too many anoying advertisements and network programs while keeping a fast and reliable service. Further more, strict moderating, regular news updates and extreemly helpfull articles all make aximsite a one stop shop for axims!
I hope one day to be able to offer something back to aximsite for all the help the forums have been.
