Looks like psyche beat me to the punch on this news with this thread, however, this is still Front Page worthy. :)
The Folks over at WebIS have released the latest version of their popular PIM with a host of fixes and updates that you can view here. If you already own Pocket Informant 2005, the upgrade should be free. And there is a trial version available if you don't own it and want to check it out - just click here and you will be whisked through cyberspace to their download site.
Thanks again to psyche for starting the thread!

I was surprised when I installed it and I had nothing to confirm on my PDA. Was the update not successful? I had not allocated any time to search for any changes but just installed the new one (yeah, always want to have the latest...). So far I have not realized that there are any major changes... However, considering the bug list it is worth installing it. I had some problems with my contacts and WebIS support provided me with an updated version of PI2005.
I too updated and was not asked to confirm anything. I guess it was successful, and it seems to work fine for me (but then again, my old PI2005 worked great too).
Thanks, I was hoping someone would post the new version number. I wasn't sure if it did anything as all I get was the "Are you sure you want to reinstall" messages.
Yeah ... I updated it a day or two ago. Dunno why I checked for an update - just turned out that I discovered it the day it was released.
I haven't done any scientific tests however the application was seeming to me to be slightly unstable. Nothing serious - an occasional lockup that I could work around and it seemed a little slow. Since the upgrade I haven't seen it lock up like it did and it feels decidedly "snappier" than it did, particularly in the calendar application.
I noticed the upgrade R2 version is definitely snappier than the previous one :approve:

Haha. It is funny.
I have just installed the PI again (now with American English as language), however, the version is still different 6,1,0,0336. But at least, it looks different from my previous version now.

I think I read that 336 is the same release, but there was a probelm with the (English?) installer that caused WebIS to change the build number.
I have 5.2.1.0093 How can I update mine? Should I install the early version of PIM2005, then upgrade it to the new version.
AFAIK, You will need a new registration code compared to version 5; in other words you will have to pay for an upgrade (some individuals who purchased PI 5 close to release date of PI 2005 received a free upgrade to PI 2005).
