Dell's Windows Mobile 5.0 Advertisement
Dell's Advertisement For X50/X50v WM5 Upgrade

Browsing around Dell's site earlier, I noticed a link on their Axim page advertising the Windows Mobile 5.0 upgrade for the X50/X50v. It appears that the upgrade will be available sometime in October. According to the advertisement, it looks like Dell will offer the upgrade CD to current X50/X50v owners for $39.00. It also appears that anyone who orders an X50/X50v now, during this promotion, will receive a free (except shipping) upgrade CD when they become available.

It's not exactly a free upgrade, because they raised the base price by about $40. It was selling for $405 a few days ago and now it's $445.

I just nailed my X50v w/ 2yr & extra battery for 415 on 6/20 :-) now w/ the free upgrade (unless they charge 30 bucks to ship it ) will be a sweet deal for 415

Of curse, Dell Canada won't do that..

Just got my X50v 4 days ago... and btw, 39$us + shipping (that will be 10$ or more ! outch
