This one is available for a bit less. See the latest Aximsite newsletter. Note: everything is protected but the battery... which faces exposed to the outside. That's the only drawback that I can see in this unit.

It is not a drawback, though, if you use the extended battery. I was thrilled to find a form fitting hard case that would allow me to use my extended battery. :D

Yah... but I'd much rather them have offered 2 models... or one model with a replaceable / removable battery cover. I hate having any part of the Ax exposed to outside impact... even the battery.
