I've been using the regular version on my X50v for two months now, and it looks and plays just fine as it is. Can't wait to see what the accelerated version looks like!

Hey J-, I'm with you.
I keep getting my butt whipped in the 6th room and have to go back and visit with my old friends in the first room after that to get some money back.
I can't wait to see what this looks like with a 16MB graphic chip.
Not to be alarmist, but I loved this game so much I played it every day for weeks on my Asus A716. Unfortunately after extended use I had a nice large ding on my screen.
The problem lies in the fact that the initial break must *always* happen from nearly the same place on the screen, (vertically in the lower half of the screen) and the natural tendency is to use a lot of force on the stylus to get as much power in the break as possible. This repeated pressure puts a permanent mark on the screen, at least in my case. If its possible to alternate the lanscape rotation direction this might alleviate the problem somewhat.

That's true. A high quality screen protector is an absolute requirement. That way, you only get a groove in the protector.

I love the PC version and QVGA version.. can't wait for VGA version.. I hope there is enough button control too, so that the screen is spared.
btw, I got a link to some files (installers, zips etc.) on celeris site, which I think (not sure at all :exc: ) is the beta version. I will try them tomorrow probably, to find out. since the link is not published by celeris (and beta testing is closed), I think I can not post the link here. anyone has any idea?

I reviewed this over at Pocket PC Thoughts and actually listed this as the only issue as it single handedly destroyed a screen protector - just too damned addictive! :)
I've had Virtual-Pool-Mobile on my "mid" since about February. Really nice game - plays very well. The simulation isn't quite as realistic as VP3 on the desktop but it's awful close. A real keeper.
I'm sure a 'v' version of the game will be even better!
Sorry to bump an old thread, but I got some new information. I emailed their customer service and asked them if there would be an upgrade path for current owners. They said that it's still under consideration, but that in no event would it be free.
They also offered to let me use the beta. So I got it. It's really quite buggy but boy does it look sweet! This will be a great game. However, it saps battery like nobody's business.
They say that the final version is finished, and that it'll be released sometime maybe middle of next month.

Thanks for the update! I guess a free upgrade was too much to hope for.. oh well. I emailed them offering to help beta test it, but got no response. Can't wait to see it!
