Great game, I've been playing the betas and it's by far the best Sukudo game I've played. My preorder is in!

I just programmed a solver. It's finally working well enough to solve easy sudokus. Now if I add more rules to my program (so it can solve harder grids) and buy this software, then I can let my program solve them, whilst I sit back and relax. or something.

edit: oh, their program solves them too...

I've been testing out the various betas (which are updated very regularly - now daily!) and I have to say, I really think it's a great implementation of the game. It takes a few minutes to get used to entering in the possibilities vs. the actual number for each box but you soon get used to it. There are several levels to suit your skill level and there's even an option to enter in your own SuDokus (eg for ones you can't complete from a newspaper), which it solves in 1-2 seconds on an X50v.

Pluses:
- 1m SuDokus to choose from (though I haven't verified this figure :) )
- 6 levels of difficultly
- good support from the author for answering queries
- makes good use of the window size of the PDA

Minuses:
- no VGA support (though it looks fine)
- Very slight lag when tapping in the numbers

Summary:
It shall be mine when it is released :)

It's now out. The 33% deal wasn't a code, just a normal price that was reduced for pre-orders. You've missed out I'm afraid, but it's well worth the $5 extra, it's a great game.

It's a logic puzzle that appears in some newspapers. See examples at sudoku.org.

Visit www.iPAQChoice.com in a few days time. I know you probably have a DELL (they're great machines) but you'll be able to get SuDoku ... for less than $5 !
