I’m going to have to set the record straight here.
Mastersoft are quite rightly promoting their product – they’ve put a lot of development effort into it and they want to make money from it. However, they are stretching it a bit with their claims:
On their own site they say:
“Mastersoft SuDoku. The Original and Best” –
er, Bunnydoku and CrossNumbers were available for PocketPC more than two years ago.
“The No1 Best Selling Pocket PC Title Overall!” –
according to who? I haven’t found this anywhere else except on the Mastersoft site or Mastersoft posts. Maybe they mean it’s the best selling Mastersoft Pocket PC Title.
In the news section: “Mastersoft SuDoku has hit No1 in the Pocket PC / Windows Mobile chart after just one week” –
which chart is this? I didn't know there was one. I can’t find it anyway.
“Voted The Best SuDoku game available for Pocket PC.” –
by whom? Where?
They quote ‘reviews’ that give it top marks, which look distinctly fishy…
Take the Fishwood blog review for example: “It will be one of the greatest puzzle games for the pocket pc... 9.5/10” –
the review, done by 14 year old George on his blog site, starts with the full promotional material for the product. It was posted on July 10 before the Mastersoft product had been released (July 17 according to their site).
Shameless self-promotion? If you want to learn how to do it, take a leaf out of their book!

Meantime have a look around and you will find some much cheaper (and in some cases much better) alternatives.
