With iLauncher or PocketPlus you get multiple tabs. Wisbar Advance Desktop gives you multiple today screens called virtual pages. One each VP you can create shortcuts to programs, documents, folders. I you want you can dedicate one plug-in per VP, or mix plug-ins with the other elements.

I find WA2 and WAD pretty responsive.

See http://www.lakeridgesoftware.com/for...forum.php?f=12.

WAD is currently in beta. There is a problem with the current release which may cause today screen plug-ins to not receive keyboard or stylus input until the stylus is held on an empty space of the background. This is a new bug. I was very happy with the previous beta versions and believe that the author will fix that problem soon.

Here are screenshots of two virtual pages. The buttons to switch between VPs are at the bottom left. The first image shows PocketPlus meters. The second image shows a launcher screen. Unfortunately I have to shrink the image size and reduce the file size in order to upload the images here; a lot of the original visual quality is lost that way.

Hard to say. My guess is somewhere between 1 and 2 MB for WA2 and WAD together. My PDA has more free memory now than when I ran WA2 and PocketPlus (that is PP V3 with most of its parts moved into BIS!). WA2 and WAD are installed in BIS like almost all my other programs. The skins, icons, sounds are in BIS, too. The today screen wallpapers are on storage card. PocketPlus is no longer installed.

The first attachment shows my Axe's memory stats after a soft reset. Note that ActiveSync is not running. WA2, WAD, Spb Diary 1.6, Spb Weather are running. WAD is setup for 9 virtual pages using 5 different wallpapers. (I use only 4 VPs but wanted to check if using different wallpapers on different VPs increases memory. It does not. Wallpapers are loaded when VPs are switched.) As you can see, a bit over 38 megs of main memory is free at this stage.

The second attachment shows the main memory stats - around 35 megs free overall - after synching i.e. with ActiveSync running. (For this picture I changed the ratio of program/storage memory.)
