Resco Explorer 2005 was released quite a while ago. The recent update was from version 5.21 to 5.22. The list of "What's new in version 5.22" on the Resco web site looks the same as the one they had for the 5.21 update, so I guess 5.22 addresses bugs but does not add features. Anyway, $19.96 is a decent price.
contains Today Screen Plugin
new QVGA icons
easier button navigation
supports square screen
enhanced network scanning
ZIP supports national characters
rename works also with HW keyboard
restoring position after Delete/Duplicate

Frenchy - Don't mean to be the "spellcheck" police, but somehow just saw it there: ROSCO...
On to the topic...
I got this one, and it's really a well programed app.

My memory may fail me but I think these were announced for 5.21. For a fact, the Today screen plugin is contained in 5.21. Do Resco maintain a release history anywhere on there web site? I could not find it.

I didn't see it either. I do not have upgraded to 5.21 so I can't compare the two versions. If it is only a bug fixes version at least they worked to make it right and members should know that it is available.

I have been using 5.21 for a while now and am impressed by both features and stability. Even if version 5.22 is just an improvement on top of that I am not complaining at all. But a major new milestone it is not. When I read your first announcement I got excited in anticipation of an unexpected "feature release"... Well.
Is anyone using Resco Explorer 2005 with SPB Pocket Plus? I'm just curious about how the similar Today plug-ins work on the same device? Thanks for the input.
I've been using 5.21 for quite soem time.. couldn't live without it. should I upgrade to 5.22? if I tap on the built in update checker it says that 5.21 is the latest version.
I have spb pocket plus 3 too so I turned off recso's today plugin.
EDIT: I just installed 5.22 on my emulator.. Resco update is now separate and can install any of the resco products right away. other than that didn't notice any major difference.. they just changed the installer with all the plugins I guess.

Meineyss wrote a looong article comparing the two plugins (Spb + Resco).
At first I was reluctant too, but Resco takes up a heck of a lot less memory. It really depends on what you want. If you're willing to sacrifice the tabs, large icons, and drag and drop functionality, it's really not so bad.
I decided I would give Resco a week and see how I like it.
