I have the Q9m and love it. The only thing I use my Axim for anymore is connecting to my home WiFI and streaming online radio (I'm in highschool and saving up for college, there's no way I can afford a data connection).

That's my exact situation. I love my Q and my Axim is just sitting there. That has made me start looking into Linux possibilities, but can't seem to find a good one.

That's weird, I plug my Q in when I go to bed and unplug it when I get up. There is no charging in between that and my battery rarely reaches below half (I'm not on the extended). I consider myself a heavy user, maybe it's just the reception I get where I live.
I have found that the Q gets VERY good reception, much better then everyone else's phones in my family. When we are in an urban area, they have to ask me to use my phone in order to place a call
