GSM Motorola Q on the way

Motorola Q gets GSM version and a successor – Motorola Q2. SCPL phones coming (phone Arena)

Quote:
The document mentions Motorola Q2 HSDPA and EV-DO. While we are willing to see both HSDPA and EV-DO in one device, we guess there will be just a couple of versions – one for GSM and one for CDMA.

Here's an update. Engadget posted something on the GSM Q a couple of weeks ago.

"The MOTO Q gsm then is just what you expect: quad-band GSM and EDGE on a WinMo 6 OS. It brings a slightly different design including a thumb-wheel for navigation. The Q q9 is expected by Q2 with the quad-band Q gsm on the way in the second half of 2007."

What was it before, CDMA? That's great. What service is it via?
