Cool Left & Right Channels

Every so often you will find a great pair of ear buds with great frequency response. Get them home and then can't figure out which is Left and which is Right, since the manufacturer decided to let you find this out for yourself.

I bought some Maxell headphones that clasp behind the back, Ouchies on the ears after 30 minutes! Went to WalMart (gah!) and oicked up some nice Koss ear buds. But... not L or R designators!

Knowing some ear plugs have channels reversed, only one way a person can tell is to use audio files.

So... ran through my files, and found two from Creative Labs. No copyrights on em, so guess they can be posted.

So here they are, ! Left and Right Channel Wave Files

Enjoy! And mark them ear buds!

There is an easier way. Put them in, plug them into your PC, play music, then move the balance from left to right in the windows volume control. Done!

That is assuming the stereo jack is wired to the same left and right output that your PDA is. Not all devices are wired the same on the output jacks. ;)

What if you're stuck in a cybercafe with just your Axim? Hey, it works! I had my earbuds in backwards.
