Video Size Help Needed

Ok, here is my problem. I have a video for my Axim, and there are black lines around the whole picture. Kind of like the black bars on a widescreen movie, but this is around the whole thing, sides and top. I used the guide for encoding, and set the size at 320X240. The problem stems from the fact that the original video I am using has the black bars around it. What I need to do is crop the bars out so the video will be full screen. Any ideas?

Ok, this was my first attempt at inserting an image, and it doesn't appear to have worked. Sorry. Anyways, what do you all think?

what is the size of your original video?

VirtualDub can crop the video as one of the "filter" options. Use that alongside the resize, rotate filters as per the guide posted in this forum.

Note, the cropping option is not an actual filter, but one of the option boxes you can click on the right hand side while your are within the filter dialogue box, if you see what I mean....
