Using PPC to control programs(as Multimedia Player) on your PC?

Does anyone know if it is possible to control some programs like multimedia player with the help of ur PPC.
i would use wireless network to connect to my PC and i want to be able to mostly play/pause, adjust volume on my movies with help of my PPC.

I don’t know of any multimedia specific applications!

However, you could try PocketPC VNCViewer to control your PC!!

You’ll need this one on your PC:

VNC is free.

IF you just want to control iTunes then Slim Server (free from http://www.slimdevices.com) is a great iTunes streaming app that will allow you to control it from your PPC via a web page interface, Very slick.
Always read stuff that will make you look good if you die in the middle of it.

VNC will do the trick. It'll be dog slow over BT I imagine, but give it a shot and see.

I haven't tried it, but I'd imagine RemoteAmp could control the movie-playing aspect of Winamp without issue.

[EDIT]

Yep...works like a charm =)
