0.66j is the latest beta version and the older 0.66 is the stable version. You might need to get the j version at the developer's homepage where he usually posts his betas.

I'm going to install it right now! I hope it is well suited for H.264! I hope some day it can play mpeg2. I rely on TCPMP everyday. I is the perfect battery conserving app for Microdrive users like me.

I'm more interested in .3gp. Anyone know if it can play the videos from smartphonevideos.com? There was a problem with AAC Audio playback.

CornyAxim, I figure the microdrive option reads into a big memory buffer so it can turn off the microdrive for short periods? That would be awesome especially for music, since you could fit maybe 32 minutes of music in memory on a 64MB machine (WM5) you could completely disactivate the drive for a long time.

What about WMP? Is there a way to get the same effect as microdrive mode with WMP?

I've been all around the website and dont see any .66 with any letters only .66. Have a link to .66J?
BTW: .50 to .66 gave me 5% better performance. Now hitting 95% with the HQ matrix trailer(http://www.pocketmatrix.com/multimedia/) using full screen, 208 (power save) mhz with medium quality sound playing off a CF card. I really like to bench this way because this is Actually how I'd like to watch movies, not out of ram, not at 600mhz and not in a small box, etc.
Just benched 538%!!Ops, that was a music file.

The ffmpeg plugin allows you to play mpeg2 files.

If I just move the .plg files to TCPMP root, will the plugins work properly?

.66J got me upto 97.5% on several benchmarks at 208mhz. Another 2% better than .66 (95%). However, it still doesn't play nearly as well as 502 mHz. I'm dropping frams at powersave 208 mhz. I wish there was a inbetween setting on the x50. From 208 to 520 is a large jump. We need something every 100mhz so I can run at 300 or 400.

How does the auto setting scale the CPU? Is it able to control the CPU in finer increments than the manual settings?

That is hard to tell. Since the program is benchmarking, I cannot exit to see what speed the processor is running. It constantly changes. If you have noting running, and just watch the CPU screen it will change while you look at it. I'd suspect it will run at max since in the auto mode, it benches the same as when I force it to 624 so there isn't and extra battery concervation going on. Batteries is why I like to run at 208 mhz.
