Problem with Windows Media Player 10 and live stream.

I am using Windows Media Encoder on my PC to broadcast a video stream. I can connect just fine to the stream using a different PC and using an HP pocketpc using the mms protocol. I connect to the stream with the following syntax:

mms://computer : port

When I try this connection on my X50V with Windows Mobile 5 and Windows Media Player 10, I get the following error:

"Cannot find the file. The file might have been moved, renamed, or deleted. If the file is stored on a server or a removable storage card, the server or card might not be available."

Internet Explorer works fine on my X50V so I know it is not a networking problem. This is strange because it works fine on my HP pocketpc running Windows Mobile 2003 and Windows Media Player 9.

Has anyone streamed video using the mms protocol, Windows Mobile 5 and Windows Media Player 10?

Edit: Changed the error message.

I can't even make a connection. What type of settings are you using with the Windows Media Encoder?

I am using media encoder 7.1.
it is work when I using x50v(wm2003se). After I upgrade to wm2005(Windows Media player 10) , it pop up a message say that " the parameter is incorrect" . it's really annoying

I have may be the same problem. I encode a live TV (with the WinFast2000 XP TV card by LeadTek) with WM encoder 9. I was able to stream it X50v running 2003se. It no longer works when I upgraded to WM 5. I could still stream it with a desktop version of Media Player 10 though. I put in the URL xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx: port (IP: port). Does anyone have a solution?

My error message is:
Cannot play the file. The file is either corrupted or the Player does not support the format you are trying to play.

I found the solution: download test version 0.66m of TCPMP at http://picard.exceed.hu/tcpmp/test/ and it will work fine. Just type in http://x.x.x.x: port or your server's URL: port at "File Opens".
