Streaming Video with WM5 Media Player problem

Just before I installed WM5, I was able to stream video (live TV) from my PC to X50v using Media encoder 9 at the source and Media Player 10 Mobile at the Axim. There is no longer a connection after I installed WM5. I could still stream that video to a desktop Media Player 10. Does anyone have the same problem and any solutions? I called Dell and Microsoft support but they keep passing the bucket to each other and I'm getting screwed :realmad:

I can't stream video at all using media player 10. Use TCPMP, there's no configuration need nor do you need anything running on the other end. Just simply install and select the file off your network....easy peesy forget about media player.

:) Ok. I installed TCPMP but when I tried to open a video streaming host address, I couldn't find a way to type in the URL such as an IP address. It only allow you to select a video file from the Axim's directory system . Does anyone know how to do that? Thanks

I found the solution: download test version 0.66m of TCPMP at http://picard.exceed.hu/tcpmp/test/ and it will work fine. Just type in http://x.x.x.x: port or your server's URL: port at "File Opens".

Mcmannus, thanks for the tips. Just curious did you find this fix from Dell or Microsoft, or any other way?

Streaming works on mine

Maybe there is hope. I'm watching live tv at work on my x50v as I write this. I have Beyondtv & tuner at home. Am using orb to access it. Worked fine with 2003se. Still works with wm5.

wow, I have no issues with streaming video at ALL using WMP.

Although my normal player is TCPMP, I use WMP for Live MSNBC streams because TCPMP doesnt support the link.
