I can play m4a (aac encoded) audio files just fine with TCPMP 0.70 + AAC codec 0.66.

Exclamation What?

Hagow your still using .096Unstable! And your asking if your missing out? Heck yah! . I've been testing every single beta version up to .70 and can tell you that Picard even added some features I asked for that really rock (like volume optimization -higher and lower volumes than were supported before)! And there is more plugin support than ever before (like Speex). And, don't forget support for configuring a button to turn of and on the screen. Come to think of it -I can't even remeber using .096Unstable because all I can think of is how much better .70 is! At least try it out! Picard rocks, and not using the latest version of TCPMP is like saying "I don't trust you" :hide: .
I hope I've got you convinced to at least try it out.

P.S. To download the latest test version of TCPMP go here Picard's Test Site
P.P.S if you want an AAC plugin Rarewares is hosting one as well as mabin at Mabin's Unofficial TCPMP site :approve:

It would be nice if we could get some more magic filenames for cover art display. For example, I already use "front.jpg" in my music collection.

TCPMP is just amazing. It takes any DivX and Xvid and MPEG files I throw at it. I maxed out all the settings (24fps, 128kbps mp3, quality slider all the way up) in Pocket DVD Studio and it still benchmarks at over 200%.

Is aac file like the trailers on apple website(mainly Quicktime files)?

I just installed V 0.70 with all the plugins including the AAC plugin for v 0.66.

Now I have no idea what these plugins can do for me but I guess it will allow me to play just about anything that I throw into TCPMP?

If you want to test out the subtitle plugin go to mabin's site (i mentioned it in my previous post) if the plugins on his site and he doesn't say it doesn't work it usually works (for most people).
Got to go!

Just trying out 0.7 and its doing a great job, I was using the unstable 0.96 which was rock solid, and my Frasier and other movie test files are playing really well.

The subtitle plugin doesnt seem to work at all - even the plugin for 0.66j doesnt work with 0.66j, not to mention other versions...
