Turning off screen when using WMP

Is there some way, or some small program somewhere that will allow you to turn off the PDA display when playing MP3s in order to conserve battery ?????

Well WMP should be able to that on it's own.
On WMP10 I've got the D-pad set up as such.
Right - Next track
Hold Right - FastForward
Left- Previous track
Hold Left - Rewind
Up - Volume up
Down - Volume Down
Action(center) - Screen Toggle

That means I actually have to touch the screen to Play/Pause, but the set up has worked for me.

If you want a stand alone Screen program you could check out:

Best of luck!

I always have trouble with WMP and the d-pad screen toggle so when I'm using WMP I use a freeware program called Screen Off instead of the d-pad. you can get Screen Off here.

Brilliant. Thanks very much folks. I just knew someone out there would know. The D Pad does it fine, although I shall keep the Screen Off program in my back pocket just in case.

Best regards

On my X5 I can press and hold the power button for a few seconds and that will dim the display. To make that happen you have to enable it on the Brightness setting display.
