Looking for Video software

What is the best software, that I can buy, that will covert my DVDs so i can play them on my Dell X51V?

Thanks.

Simple is most important, with video quality a close second.

Hi

Welcome to AximSite

Please use the search in the future as this is probably the most asked question....it already has about 50 topics dedicated to it.

In fact, if you had taken a second to look at the top of this forum, you would have found this sticky topic:

...a bewildering bunch of options, spread over 16 pages. With respect, I don't think that's first and foremost pointing to the simple solution.

As an occasional DVD converter, I've used DVD-to-Pocket PC v2 with some success, but I prefer Fairuse Wizard Lite v1.2.

They are both easy - but FU can be just a one-or-two-click effort giving excellent results, and it's free. Just start it then wander off for a bit. With my 800MHz laptop, in fact, it's wander off to bed. Only one failure to date, working on a multi-episode, multi-language TV series.

On the other hand, DVD2PPC announces it's up to v3.0 so perhaps it has improved.

Good luck, happy viewing.

FairUse - the lite version is free and does the job, takes a while but so do all software titles that do this job.
