DVD to WM5

This might not be the best place to post this you can move if you want to, I have a Axim 51V back when I had my 50V I used to encode my Futurama and mash DVD to carry with me (not to exchange) I spend a good deal of time on an airplane or in very boreing meetings I had a utility to "ripp" the dvd's and one to encode them to PPC format where I played them with media player built into my 50v but I can't remember the name(S) of them I tried using fair use and it works but where what I had my acceptable videos at under 100megs per 30mins fair use makes them 600 megs and larger anyone know of a different utility or maybe a different check box under fair use, my old util was also faster.

You can change the output size on Fairuse. I'm not at my desktop so I can't tell you where, but have a look.

Moved to Multimedia.

Check the "Multimedia" section of the boards. You should find what you're looking for there. :approve:

The program you're looking for is called DVD Catalyst, and you can find it here:

http://www.pocketdvd.ca

It specializes in turning dvd's into tiny files to fit any memory stick, but it can also create very high quality vids if you want - it's completely up to you.

I've tried a lot, and this program is by far the easiest and cheapest around - also received pocketpcmag.com's award for best ripping software.

Fairuse is probably one of the better ones. And it's free.
