Yahoo! Unlimited Starting to Suck

I subscribed to the service for my X50V and everything worked great. Lately; however, I started getting tons of licensing errors when I try to transfer music over. It's driving me crazy!

At first I thought it was a great idea, but now I'm not so sure. Unless these guys get a more reliable platform together, Limewire will be around for a looooong time.

Another thing is that many artists are not participating with Unlimited. Sellout band Metallica is one. I can get every Megadeth album ever made, but Metallica won't throw in a single song? Jerks.

I'm with ya, the licensing errors are a problem. The best way I've found to deal with it is to select all of my music and then update all the licenses. The ones from artists who have dropped yahoo unlimited will give me errors, then I go back through and delete those artists or albums. It's a pain but its the best solution I've found.

I wonder if rhapsody or napster is less of a hassle?

Ive never heard how the other guys are. I went with Yahoo for the price. Ive been doing the mass relicense too. It just sucks if I don't sync my pda for a while and the license expires. Seems like fewer new artists are joining in. I can find the oldies but the new stuff is hard to get.

I went for Yahoo because of the price. But the service sucks. I get tons of errors. I have had to reload the software and delete the licenses at least three times (which means I had to redownload all of the music. And now the original price has more than doubled. I canceled. I am with emusic right now. Cheap purchase of music, but limited artists.
