Ripped movie annoyance

I ripped my first movie using fair use and coppied it to my axim and now Im playing it using tcpmp. When I do so I keep getting Lucas, McCallum, and one or two other names flashed at the top of the screen. Is there a way to get rid of this?

Do these same names flash on the original, unripped version?

This is Episode 3. The DVD does not show these names. But my rip does (using both a PC based divx player and on the axim). The names are displayed at the beginning of the movie along with what their roll was. Then the names are displayed every few minutes throughout the movie. It looks like what one would expect to see when watching the movie with the directors commentary. However, the audio is fine (no voiceovers).

Odd because I experienced the same thing when I put a copy of MY copy of Animal House on my X51V. I'm gettiong the directors comments in text on the bottor of the screen. No biggie cause the directors comments are really interesting but was wondering why ????

Check that you don't have any subtitles being ripped. I'll check my software to see if that's it.

Make sure all subtitles are turned off. I never had this problem before but it seems interesting. Probably one way you can avoid this is to download DVD Shrink. While ripping the movie remove all audio, but the stereo english, and remove all subtitles.

Yep, from the first screen, if you click "Options" next to the "Next" button, under the "Audio" section make sure the "Subtitles" are set to "-" or something like that.

See if that's it. Could be totally different, but worth a check.
