Question Itunes-> .m4p files on PPC

Is there any way besides re-ripping into an .mp3 to play .m4p's on my Dell Axim x50 520mhz??? I would prefer not to have to buy a program to play the songs... Thanks, Mike.

If they're .m4p files (ie purchased from iTunes Music Store) then re-rip is the only legal way.

If they .m4a files (AAC but without Fairplay DRM) then TCPMP can play them I believe.

Alright thanks.... I do believe that legally I may change the .m4p to .m4a, and claim the .m4p as my backup for the .m4a. I believe that I can do this because I own a liscense to the song because I bought it...

I think you'll find it's not as simple as just renaming the file.
