Acquiring license for wma file (x50v, WM5)

I recently downloaded 3 songs from PassAlong.com (because I had 3 free song downloads), so I downloaded them to my laptop. When I played them on there I had to have the PassAlong software installed on my computer to play the file.

I then put the song on my CF card in my Axim x50v and was going to play it in media player (it is a wma file). I select the song and hit Play and it says that it needs to aquire a license to play the file. Upon saying "Yes I want to acquire a license for this file", it opens up PIE and goes to https://www.PassAlong.com/LicenseServer/Login.aspx. It downloads like 8k of info from the site and then stops, showing nothing but the white screen background of PIE.

What can I do (if anything) to acquire a license and play this file on my PDA? Does anyone know some way of hacking the file to not need to acquire a license? Any help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I just found out that that website uses alot of active X for some of its site features. Could this be the problem? Does this help anyone out?

Do I need to "sync" with my PDA using Windows Media Player 10 on my laptop to get this to work? Has anyone had a problem similar to this, or who knows how to allow me to play these files on my Axim?

Have you tried accessing the site with a better browser, like NetFront?

I would try the syncing, and if that doesn't work, try burning the files onto CD (as CDA files, not WMA), then re-ripping them. That usually removes the licensing.

Moved to Multimedia.
