How to display playlist on main window of WMP in WM5.0 as we do on our PC?

Hi All,
How to display playlist on main window of WMP in WM5.0 as we do on our PC? so that we can select the song to play from main screen only without going into Now Playing.

I don't think this is possible. The pocket pc has less screen space than a windows pc, so to preserve space, you have to open now playing to switch between songs. Just leave the now playing window open. Or look for a third party app.

Most of the third-party media players I've used, (and I've used alot ) only give you next and previous as options on your Today screen. Sounds like a great idea for a developer to work on though' I wonder if JonMisurda is watching this thread...

HI Planet, Thanks for suggestion but honestly speaking I wanted some freeware and it seems that PocketPlayer is not freeware. I have PocketMusic, it is freeware and it is like Winamp (using Winamp skin). Very good but I thought that windows media player uses the resources more efficiently and sucks less battery. For the time being, I will use PocketMusic. You guys can give this a try.

In addition to all, I wanted that it should have timers for shutdown, for screen-off, and should have MD bufferring support. bluetooth headphone support for controls, all this is in Conduits PocketPlayer as suggested by Planet but I am not ready to pay yet.

Hi Don't Panic,
I didn't mean to plug-in the list of songs on Today Screen, I think u r referring to that, What I wanted was that list should come on screen of Windows Media Player 10 along with controls as it comes of PC. You know something like Winamp.

But ur understanding of my problem has given new dimension to problem and probable solution. it wud be so nice if I can get a playlist like thing on main Today screen it self.....

I advice either MortPlayer or GSPlayer (both great, both free).
I use GSPlayer with Duckie's great iTunes skin. It is feature rich and shows the playlist on the main screen.

Hope this helps you out.
