tcpmp and streaming over wireless Lan

I am x50V running wm2003se A05rom. and have tcmp 0.71 with all plugins.
Is it normal to get alot of buffering. I have played around with the buffer settings and timings. But the constant buffering of a divx/ac3 movie around 700mb makes it impossible to watch.

What are the most optimal settings/ least amount of buffering I can get on my x50V...Thanks

I find that Windows Media is a lot better for streaming than TCPMP

1. I assume he is talking about playing the file from a shared network drive. there is no streaming here only network thruput...
2. You can't use WMP to play DIVX files..
3. I'm having the same problem , did some changes in TCPMP settings with no luck.. I wonder if someone can come up with a solution.

It usually works fine if I disable wireless battery saving thingie, the bandwidth of the axim is then greatly improved.

There's a certain bitrate for DiVX files where there is buffering problems.

Unfortunately this is a limitation of the X50v's wireless throughput, or lack thereof. With the common DivX encoding of ~700 mb/hr for DVDs, you will usually have buffering issues.
