I Have Xm Radio, And I Want To Record It Onto My Axim 51v... What Do I Need?

I've given up with trying to find online media sites. There is a station I love on XM, and as a drummer, it would be great to be able to record a couple hours worth, take it to my studio, and practise.

What do I need to be able to make the digital recordings I'd need?

links?

Thanks Bros!

Michael

By the way, the XM is actually coming through my directv, and then goes through my sound system...

I use Freecorder at site below, I'm using Sirius but should work the same for XM, you do have to buy the regular version to get good audio and longer playback times, the trial version is very limited:

Enjoy your tunes,

The quick and easy way is to connect the analog audio outputs from your DIRECTV box to the line-in socket(s) on your PC, record with Audacity (which is free but every bit as good as any other consumer level recording software) and save the recording as MP3/OGG then copy it on to your Axim for later playback.

If you can be more specific about your current setup and requirements then better advice can be offered.

What kind of DIRECTV box do you have?
Does it have digital audio out?
Does your PC have a sound card with digital audio in?
Is this a maximum quality for minimum cash deal or is it OK to spend a few bucks?

I'll post up the details on my systems as soon as I get home tonight.

I do have a sound card on my comp I know. It's like a 2-3 year old dell, well outfitted.
