I have an Axim 51V using TCPMP. I'm trying to decide if I should encode to 320x240 AVC Format, meaning Smaller files. Or go with the Native res of the screen and Encode to a 640x480 Xvid file. The xvid's might be slightly more detailed but they are larger. And the AVC sometime have a slight Hitchiness to them.

Using FairUse I generally encode Xvid, file size 300mb. This gives a fantastic view on my x50v. For some movies I will go to a higher file size but, for me, the difference is only noticable in very dark shots.

How do you encode to avc? I'm trying to find a decent guide, because I don't really have enough space to use xvid (as excellent as it is). I'd like to use maybe x264 or coreAVC. Anyone know about this?
