I thought I read somewhere on this site, that some version of the CorePlayer allowed you to view iPod Video on a PPC, but I can not find it anywhere now. Does anyone know if this is true?

iPod videos are copy protected and DRM'd, so you can't watch them on your PPC without decrypting them. Unfortunately, I am not aware of way to do that at this time.

they're in an MP4 format, but it's encrypted for iPods and iTunes, I believe.

one way,
burn them to cd, rip them back from cd into mp3 format and copy them to a sd card and use tcmp to play them .

Have you tried this? Just curious, as I have the entire season 2 of the Office I'd like to put on my SD card, and I've heard that the trick you mention above works for music files, but wasn't aware it would work for movie files too. Thanks for the tip! :approve:

If someone can figure out how to strip the DRM, TCMP will play them.

I would be curious about this working also especially since the video is not in MP3 format. If something like this would work then I think it would be great.

I think he misread the question and thought the original poster wanted to play regular itunes music on their axim.

I don't believe that trick will work for videos. Remember that the reason this trick works is that the audio is decrypted and converted when it is burned so you can read it on a regular CD player. If you burn a video to a CD can you watch it on a regular DVD player? I don't believe so, but you would be able to tell by seeing the resulting file on the CD and then trying to play it on a DVD. I would be surprised if that works.

You might want to try DVD Catalyst (check handango for a free full function Demo). I know it can create the correct format so it might be able to reverse the format to something else as well...

The latest version of TCPMP 0.71 with the AVC codec can play those type of videos if there not DRM encrypted.

Why dont you just get a tv tuner and record your own shows to take with you, or just use P2P. The quality will be better too (itunes video is shit at only 320x240). Why pay for something that is lower quality and which restricts its use that much. You may be able to re encode it, but is it worth the time and the subsequent decrease in quality.
