Using Resco Explorer, i got network drive mapping feature.
I have a ton of music on my network share, and i want to be able to listen to them on my x51v around the house. I tried PocketMusic because it had the option of turning off the screen to conserve battery. PocketMusic was decent, but it couldn't load networked files (big bummer) Be awesome if winamp had a pocket port. Anyone have any other suggestion of audio players to try? Maybe there is program to quickly turn of the screen with a tap of a button? If so i could just use TCPMP which works great! **I installed TCPMP open-source video player and it was awesome! does AVI DIVX XVID, i was able to watch all my networked anime files on my beautiful 640x480 x51v screen! I love it and better yet is it buffers network files pretty well, no hicups watching streaming video.

You can map a button to turn off your screen with TCPMP. Click on Options > Setings > Select Page > Hot Keys then scroll down and assign a button to screen on/off. The Home button doesn't get much use on my Ax.

I also have Resco 2005 media suite with Resco Audio Recorder. It can access the network drive and then play any music. You can make play lists ect, it works very well sofar.

o... button mapping worked!
I have about 2-3k songs in each network share and it takes TCPMP about 2-3 minute to load the folder each time. Long wait. Any way to speed up the process without segmenting the songs in smaller folders? maybe a cached directory?

The playlist made by Resco audio Recorder is importable into TCPMP and now TCPMP finds all my network music

What i did was just leave my m3u or pls file from winamp in a directory above or higher than my music folder.
So when i use tcpmp i just access thet playlist on the network and it works. This way i can share playlist on my desktop and ppc easily. It works because m3u or pls uses relative path for filename location instead of specific filename location like the WindowsMediaPlayer. This is kewl since i have turn my pocketpc into a home IPOD with unlimited amount of space for music and video =]

If you want to access your network drives. Go into Resco File Explorer and click File->Options->Add-Ins->Show Network as "Network" folder under "My Device"->Ok->Reset.
Now your network folder will be accessible with Conduits Pocket Player, Pocketminds PocketMusic, TCPMP or whatever media player you happen to use.

copy protected WMA over network
I am new to using my Axim to listen to audio files. My wife wants to be able to listen to audio books that she can download from the local library while she exercises. I would like to be able to keep the file on the network and play it from there. It sounds like I have a few options for doing this, but the question I have is that the files are .WMA, and are copy protected. Windows Media Player handles them fine on my pc, but will any of the programs mentioned in this thread be able to handle them? I would appreciate your advice.
