TCPMP with Mpeg-2 .... settings??
I've got a JVC videocamera which records onto 4gb microdrive. The output is mpeg-2 and I've just found out that there is a newly available mpeg-2 plugin for TCPMP player. Although I can view the video I'm only getting 6fps (on my x51v). I've tried viewing the clips (20meg) from CF microdrive, SD card and RAM and there is no difference in speed. I've also made sure to select Intel 2700G decoder in the settings but it makes no difference... any other tips/updates???

These are the salient points regarding the file I'm trying to play:
Filesize-25MB Codec - FFmpeg MPEG1/2 Vid size - 720x576 data bit rate - 8500kbit/s Could it be that the databit rate is too high. Bearing in mind that this is a videocamera recording at DVD quality i.e. 4gb is about 1 hour of film. I really want to be able to record something with the camera, take out the microdrive, pop it into the Axim and review the output. Is there a way to downsample on the fly?? AU

Hi,
I think that the max bit rate for TCPMP is about 1200-1400kbit/s So you are way way far from fitting the basic requirement for playing that kind of file. Of course you can always encode the movie in order to achieve a lower bit rate. Lior
