Video for X-51
I know there are lots of threads pertaining to pda video. I have tried the search function and cannot find a solution for my particular problem. I have a video from Windows 95 (some of you may remember "Goodtime") that I would like to play on my Axim X51v. It appears from other threads that I need to convert that video to an appropriate codec that can be played by Windows Media Player 10 Mobile or tcpmp, which are the two players I have installed. Do any of you have a solution that isn't extremely complicated. I am getting old and require simple steps! Thanks for any help.

Pocket DivX encoder MAY be your solution, it is free, just google it. If you can't work out how it works (it is a bit complicated to get all the settings right) there is a tutorial in the tutorials section of the site that deals with the subject of converting DVDs to a TCPMP-playable format. Read the section of the tutorial that deals with the use of Pocket DivX encoder. If you manage to convert the file it will now be playable with TCPMP.
I say it MAY be the solution because I don't know what format your original movie was in... Sorry if this doesn't help! | |||||

In Properties this file is identified simply as a video file and the compression says Cinepak codec. It was originally desiged to run in Windows Media Player - but the Windows 95 version. I will check out Divx and the tutorial. Thanks for responding.
