how to transfer TIVO show to Axim x51v

hi everyone. i'm expecting my 8gb seagate card in the next few days and i want to transfer some of my tivo programming to the axim, but i don't know the process. i was wondering if someone can point me to what software i might need.

also, i don't have a wireless card in it, i use the phone jack instead. will that be a problem?

thank you :)

check the threads there's a step by step around here somewhere, but basically you need:
TiVo desktop 2.1 or higher
WMP 10 with the one of the proper codecs
Axim onnected via ActiveSynch

1. Record program on TiVo
2. Transfer program to PC via TiVo Desktop
3. After transfer Open WMP, select the Synch tab
4. Browse to the program w/ WMP and add it to the playlist ( WMP will ask for your Media Access Key)
5. Select your storage card in the destination pane of WMP
6. Hit Start Synch. WMP will convert the file. A one hour program takes up abput 125mg after conversion (program recorded at High quality)
Hope this gets you started

Is there a program if you dont have a Tivo unit, but just a standard DVR system from Dish Network?

There currently is nothing officially released for Dish Network's DVR like the TivoToGo functionality. I have DirecTV with TiVo and a few simple mods have allowed me to download my shows for compression and transfer to my axim. I think there *might* be something that could help you transfer your shows off your Dish DVR to your computer. (You've got a PM! :approve: )
