Wow this is great! I converted a 1 hour 5 min AVI video into 60 mb (w/o audio) in about 20 minutes!

Oh my, could this be what I've been waiting for all these months... I've been hoping for a one click reencoder to just take a typical divx and stuff it down to Axim size. Lets see...

OMG it is!

On my XP2000+ it seems to take about 40min (or so it says) to reencode down to 200meg file at 25fps. I have my fingers crossed!

What's the price if you want to use it after 15 days?

Does it rotate the video as well? I couldn't find a rotate option in Advanced settings.

Thanks,
Mike

Working with Dr. Divx right now. I am taking a 300MB/ 1.2 hour file amd trying to get it down to about 90 MB. It's about 23% in to the encoding process. I'll let you know how it works out.

I found it to be a buggy mess. I'm waiting for the next version.

I've been trying a couple of videos. Dr. Divx is quick and easy. If you need to rotate the video, just use Pocket MVP.

problems playing back

Dowloaded and converted using Dr. divx - worked great and plays back well on my desktop using real one player.

But when trying to playback on Axim, it says file contains incompatible video format(but its and avi file).

Any suggestions - I have Pocket Divx installed - is this the wrong program?

Thanks for the help!:rolling:

I had the same problem in reference to the avi playback error. I downloaded Pocket MVP and associated the avi files to it. It worked.

How do you rotate the video using Pocket MVP? TIA

To rotate - tap the "curled arrow" (bottom right) icon on the main screen. Note that forcing PMVP to rotate the video will slightly degrade playback. Much more efficent to pre-rotate in the encoding process. (from other posts - I see Dr. Divx is lacking in this function)
