Worried Rip and Burn

I found this in Knowledge Base Tutorials How to burn and turn your pda into a Theater. Can some one look at this and hepl me understand this part, "You wrote instruction on how to burn and turn your pda into a Theater. I was with you up to this point hear*** Finally, unless you intend to backup your DVD to a VCD, go to the following menu and select custom....at split mode..this will keep the program from breaking the DVD into 2 seperate files for burning VCDs. You just want one to go on your SD Memory Card. You can still install the two files on your card and just click on the second part once the first is finished. But if you just want one continuous movie on your iMate/XDA II, don't forget this menu..... I just want to put it to my hard drive so I can transfer to my CF or SD card. I don't want to back it. Can you explain some more (simple) I'm a newbie. Thanks

I think you need to provide more context. What specific part of what knowledge base article?
Always read stuff that will make you look good if you die in the middle of it.

Look at How to Burn & Turn your PocketPC into a Portable Theatre. I was with him until he got to the part right here... Finally, unless you intend to backup your DVD to a VCD, go to the following menu and select custom....at split mode..this will keep the program from breaking the DVD into 2 seperate files for burning VCDs. You just want one to go on your SD Memory Card. You can still install the two files on your card and just click on the second part once the first is finished. But if you just want one continuous movie on your iMate/XDA II, don't forget this menu." I just want to copy the movie I don't know anything about a VCD. Thanks.

Okay I just read the article and what you need to do is go to that menu and click on the Split-mode dropdown and chooce Customize from the list. Then rip that DVD.
